Newbie Setup Question

I'm setting up an Astaro Gateway using eth7 for my ISP and eth0 for my network (192.168.0.x), works fine.  I now want to connect my wireless Netgear to eth1 and it is using IP range 192.168.1.x.  

How do I get the wireless connecting to my network and ISP? Sounds easy but, I can't get it to work.  

Appreciate any assistance.

    Hi,

    The easiest way to set this up would be to change the netgear to use the same network range as eth0. Then just connect the netgear to the astaro via the lan ports on the router (do not use the wan port). That is how I have mine setup, I have two ports bridged on the astaro, one of which I have connected to my wireless router via its lan port. Also make sure you only have dhcp running on one of the devices either the astaro or the netgear, but make sure that the clients are getting assigned the eth0 ip for their default gateways.

    If you want to keep the wireless on a seperate network, you would need to configure another nic on the astaro for example eth1 to have an ip address of 192.168.1.1. Then connect it to the wireless router via its lan ports, and make sure the wireless clients are getting a default gateway of 192.168.1.1. Then you just need to configure packet filter rules and/or the proxies to allow the traffic as well as a nat masq rule for the 192.168.1.x network.

    Hope that wasn't too confusing, but it should work for you it just depends how you want to have it setup.
