Is there a VOIP FAQ somewhere?

I'm trying to setup an internal trixbox with internal phones to an external provider and I haven't a clue how any of this is supposed to function wrt the firewall. All knowledge base searches go to V6's release notes with one paltry paragraph about the new SIP proxy.

    Hi,

    there is no FAQ because instead of version 6 we have no full sip proxy anymore. The VOIP Security in Version 7 is only a sip helper. This means that the Astaro receive the voip packets of the clients on port 5060 and open the high ports who are inside the payload for the voice channel. So you have only 2 fields to configure:

    SIP server networks:

    these are the hosts from the remote endpoint of the SIP connection. You can enter there alle your known external communication partners or if you don't want to add each remote partner enter ANY.

    SIP client networks:

    these are your internal voip telephones or your internal voip server. If the telephones connect not direct to the internet but over the sip server it's adequate to enter only the sip server there. If the telephones connect directly to the internet you have to enter each IP adress in this field or add the complete network.

    Input SIP server (***.***.***.0/24 netmask for the couple servers the provider uses). Input SIP client (our trixbox server). Doesn't work.

    So do I need to open up these ports also? Everyone is telling me these ports are not opening up as appropriate. Is this the same problem the other person that is saying the SIP proxy doesn't work is having?
