DSL (PPOE) conection, VDSL??

HI;

My Astaro at home uses a DSL PPOE connection. I keep finding that it keeps dropping the connection, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. I just found that I had the MTU set wrong, it was set at 1490 instead of 1492. (Not sure if this is relevant)

I noticed that there is a field under the Hardware section called VDSL. What is this field for ?

Also is there a way to have the Astaro check this connection and if disconnected then reconnect it.

    Hi,
    yes you can set the reconnect time in the PPPoE configuration page. Mine auto reconnects then retries every 5 seconds. If I know the outage will be for a considerable time I change the retry time to 15 minutes.

     network->interfaces->edit the interface-> reconnect delay

    I don't use the daily reconnect function.
