Proxy Cache Reports

The Astaro tells us that 11% of the data disk space is being used.  Can we get more details regarding HTTP Cache usage?  Is there a way to find out what percent of total web traffic is being cached and distributed through the astaro proxy? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    A cache hit ratio number would be nice but since you can't tweak the proxy it will be pointless. 
    On a side note, the cache directory keeps on growing even if caching is turned off. If you clear the cache, it goes to 4k but then after recreating all the subdirectories it starts creaping back up. Wonder what is it saving. Just do a du -ch |grep total in /var/storage/chroot-http/var/cache and you can monitor this behavior.

    I have only one client where the cache is on because it might help.  It's an auto dealership, and all of the salespeople do training on-line where they basically just step through videos and slideshows on the different vehicles they sell.

    Internet content is so dynamic nowadays and connection speeds so fast that I give thumbs down on cache for most everyone.  I'd like to hears opinions from others on this approach.
