Log Archive Question

I am running ASG ver. 7.4 and very much need to download and store my archived content filter logs to another server location. I am having difficulty in getting the download as zip file feature working.  I have a lot of these archived log files going back to July 2008. Is there another way I can accomplish this using the console?

    you can find the logs via the console."tar","zip" them and "scp" or "cp" to another machine (More Astaro experienced users will give you more info on whether it's possible and the location of all logs)

    Martman, you also should check out the 'Remote Syslog Server' tab in 'Logging >> Settings' for a long-term solution to your problem.

    You can use WinSCP to scrape the logs off the Astaro, but you may need to login via ssh and switch to root to change file ownership to loginuser in order to have permission to copy the files with WinSCP as loginuser.

    thanks....I did get it figured out finally and got my files off and cleaned up. My remote archive is set up but I had a lot of log files that I need to save before I delete them off the server.
