Accounting & Executive Report

Hi All,

i have 2 questions concerning the logging behaviour. Our installation runs on version 7.305.

For which timerange the executive summary contents are cumulated? We have huge Network usages over the last days, but the size is growing up every day. 

We have no report entries in the section Accounting. Any ideas?

    Check out this thread.  Restarting the Ulog Daemon might resolve your issue.

    Hi Sebastian,

    thanks for your response. I´ve restarted the ulog daemon but the behaviour is still the same.
    Even with a restart of the whole system the accounting reporting area is without any entries.

    Your problem sounds as if the aggregation process which usually runs at night did not complete. This leads to accounting data  from more than one day being stored inside a "daily" table which should only contain network accounting data for the current day. This leads to enormous amounts of traffic for the current day in the executive report, and since this usually takes a while to process it does not show in the WebAdmin because it times out before the call is completed.

    Please check the system.log for data from a process called rotate_adbs.plx, which should be started at 2:30 AM each night. It logs how long it took for each database to be processed, and if an error occurs.
