Logging Better Way NonText

I'm new to Astaro, but if I goto view a log, for example the HTTP log, it opens it up in notepad. How am I supposed to read this? Isnt there a better way of logging everything? Or is there a workaround to better read this?

Hi chugger93,

this is only the case if you download it to your desktop.
You can also view it inside the browser, search the logfile inside the browser and so on.

How do you view it in the browser? All I see is "Live Log" which isn't what I want, because its live, and wont keep track of EVERYTHING. Then I see "View", which opens up the log in notepad.

Hm, for me (using Firefox) it opens up a separate tab with the logfile contents in it, so it is probably a browser issue (browser sees that it is plain text and opens Notepad for it automatically).

You can work around this by using the select boxes on the left side of the log files and choosing "Download as .zip" in the drop-down box below the table. Then you can save the file, unzip it and use every editor you like.
