Generic Proxy Rule

I need to open up a few ports for streaming video from my network but can't seem to figure out all of the settings of the Generic Proxy Rule.

Interface: I assume would be external since I'm opening up a port from the Internet.

Service:  I've setup a service with the Type=TCP/UDP, Dest. Port=1935, Source port 1:65535

Host:  This is where I get lost

Service:  Also don't know exactly what goes here.

Allowed Networks:  I would assume my Internal Network.

Is there a FAQ somewhere that would help me, I've been through the manual and it just hasn't been much help.

Thanks!

  • Host would be the servers IPs (or use ANY)

Service: the service you created for port 1935

Allowed nets: yes, your internal network.

FWIW, I believe this can all be done with the packetfilters; the generic proxy is probably unnecessary for this.
