Flushing DNS cache

How can I flush the cache on the firewall?

I control my own domains, and when I make a change, I want all the systems inside to start getting the new addresses right away. And all of these devices are using the firewall's DNS proxy for their DNS and the firewall looks to my DNS server for its info.

So there HAS to be a simple cache flush option? I would settle for flushing all, not just by domain.

How about pointing all your internal systems to your internal (slave) DNS server and point your internal DNS server to the firewall's DNS proxy?

Last time I tried it, quickly disabling and enabling the DNS proxy seemed to do it. (Through webmin-proxies)

Nope.

Not only did disabling DNS the reenabling it not flush the cache.

While it was disabled, I had no trouble running nslookup - astaro.mydomain !!!!!

And there is no service named restart command when I SSH and su to root...

SSH to the box and then do:

/var/mdw/scripts/named restart

Or did I misunderstand what you're trying to do?

This is correct for flushing the DNS proxy cached entries. In 7.500 there is a feature added with a flush DNS entry button in webadmin.
