How to get Astaro email notifications

I've got Astaro v7.002 setup in my home.  How do I get astaro to send me email notifications.  I've got my email address entered in Management > Notifications.  

Here are some of my other settings. 

Packet Filter Rules:
Source > Service > Destination : Action Comments
DMZ (Network) > Any > Internal (Network) : Drop Isolates DMZ from internal network
Any > Any > Internal (Broadcast) : Drop keeps internal broadcast traffic from getting logged on the firewall
Internal (Network) > VoIP Protocols > Any : Allow
Internal (Network) > Instant Msg > Any : Allow
Internal (Network) > Terminal Apps > Any : Allow
Internal (Network) > email msg > Any : Allow
Internal (Network) > VPN Protocols > Any : Allow
DMZ (Network) > Any > Any : Allow Lets DMZ access internet.  Don’t make Destination= External, this is not the same as the whole internet.

    Since I installed the astaro firewall in my home, I've been getting a couple of applications that have intermittent connection problems.  My kids play a multiplayer game runescape.com and from time to time it says connection lost, trying to re-establish, which it does.  Also on my Firefox browser, I have the Google Browser Sync extension.  Once and a while I get a pop-up message that says: "Network Connection Error.  Please check you settings and try again."  I click okay and it seems to be fine after that, but it's annoying.  I'm assuming astaro should be able to keep up with all the traffic I have at home.  We have 5 computers, usually only two or three are used at a time

    I have astaro 7.002 on a PC that's got 384 MB Ram, 10/100 NIC cards, Pentium III 600Mhz.  Looking at the graphs in the Reporting > Hardware section, CPU usage is pretty flat around 8%.  Memory usage is flat at about 60%.  It seems my hardware is not being overburdened.  Anyone idea why I am getting lost connections?
