Daily spam digest - Daily reporting

Hi all,

I use V7.002 in a Vmware. The reports are sent very late a day at 5:30pm.
Sometimes before but it is too late.

Users must have the ability to release their mails in the morning.
What to do to get the reports in the morning?
I know hacking the ASL but this would void support.
What is the official way?

    Could there be a problem with time zone? 5 pm in central europe would translate to something like 1 am in China (Beijing/Hong Kong), but next day! So check also your location / time zone at settings.

    Hi again,

    problem still exists. I changed my Timezone to Europe/Berlin for a few days but the ASG delivers at lunch time or later.

    Next day I changed to ETC+1, same late delivery...

    My clock was running out of time after a few days.
    Everytime i had to change it to correct time. But few days later it runs out of time again.

    I have several linux machines under VMware Server and they all keep their time correct.

    What to do ?

    whats your vmware server version and operating system?

    If your vmware server OS is linux, ensure kernel module rtc is loaded.
    Watching /var/log/kernel.log on your vmware server might also help.

    It´s SLES10 and Vmware Server 1.01.

    There run several other linux as guests and they keep their time ...
    RTC module is loaded.

    I have no time problems with ASGs running on vmware workstation 5.5 or ESX server 3.

    Are there any hints in your kernel log ? e.g.:
      /dev/vmmon[7538]: host clock rate change request 0 -> 250
      /dev/vmmon[7538]: host clock rate change request 250 -> 500

    You might also try vmware server 1.02...
