I have two identical firewalls interconnecting our two offices (each has 2 nics; 1 syskonnect 1gbit and 1 intel 100mbit) that i'm monitoring using scheduled snmp queries. Turns out the snmp daemon returns an ifSpeed of 10000000 (10mbit), when the speeds are verifiably 100mbit on all connections.
What gives?
As a side dish, the gigE nic doesn't seem to wanna connect at 100mbit. While this is quite unnecessary, given that our inet-link is merely 10mbit, it still irks me.
