Hello!
Since a few days I got some problems with my Astaro (ASL 5.213).
Configuration:
Small network with up to 10 Pc´s. All running WinXP or W2k.
The Gateway and DNS-Server are configured with the IP of the Astaro.
The Internet-Explorers configured with Proxy on Port 3128.
Problem:
One of my colleague told me that he couldn´t open a VPN-Connection to our customer. So I started the command-prompt and send a ping to the customers adress (customer_1.dyndns.org). I got the response "couldn´t find host". Now I tried a ping to the customers ip-adress and got 4 replays. A ping to "www.suse.de" or other sites works fine. So I reset the ip-listing on "System-Licensing" and made a restart of the ASL. After that a ping to "customer.dyndns.org" works.
One day later another colleague got the same problem with another customer.
The same procedure like above but this time I logged in to ASL and tried a ping to "customer_2.dyndns.org" from the ASL (System-Network-Ping check). The ASL replies and after that I could make the same ping from the command-prompt with replies.
Today none of the above works. Instead the ASL answered my ping-check with: "The hostname either does not exist or the DNS proxy is not configured correctly".
I didn´t make any change to the ASL for weeks.
Any guesses?
