For several months we used sip proxy feature in ASG without problem but since few days there's no way to make it work !!!
We generally use, as demo for lan user, a software phone (SJphone) where you can specify credential for sip authentication in two way:
1) authentication directly to external ISP provider
2) authentication using internal proxy services
Both of these config do not work at all and particularly I noticed a strange behaviour: with SIP proxy disabled and a packet filer rules that allow all the traffic from lan to external, I set up the soft phone to access directly SIP provider: login is perfect.
When I try to make a phone call, SJphone start to communicate but it seems to be fallen in a stand-by state; in the meanwhile packet filter live log show me a lot of dropped packets coming from SJphone ip and destinated to the firewall IP instead of external public address of SIP provider, as the SIP proxy were alive yet.
Could anybody please give me any suggestion regarding a way to debug this case ? This problem could compromise some interesting starting project for my customers !
Thanks in advance !
