no notification-mails after upgrade

We have upgraded our V5 HA-Firewall to V6  (now 6.101 running) and reinstalled the configuration. Everything works fine except the notification-mails. 

In the SMTP-Log I can find the following lines: (tested with manually sending the auto-backup-mail)

2005:11:30-11:17:18 (none) exim[21740]: 2005-11-30 11:17:18 SMTP protocol violation: synchronization error (input sent without waiting for greeting): rejected connection from H=localhost [127.0.0.1]
2005:11:30-11:20:50 (none) exim[23015]: 2005-11-30 11:20:50 SMTP protocol violation: synchronization error (input sent without waiting for greeting): rejected connection from H=localhost [127.0.0.1]

Why doesn't understand the Astaro their own messages/protocols?   [:S]

Wold be nice, if anyone can help.

    My personal guess is that one of the modules the notificiation daemon uses to send mails was corrupted during the upgrade. The cleanest way would probably to save a backup and re-install with version 6 (who knows what else is affected?)...

    It doesn't help ;-( 

    No matter which machine in the HA is active, it sends neither notifications nor auto-backups.

    btw. the machine is used as mail-gateway, works fine. So I think the smtp-deamon is up and running.

    What to do?
