/var/log is filling up

Hello,
  I tried to clear out the log files from Local Logs->Browse but there isn't much space used there.

I looked around with an ssh connection and found out that what is really taking space is the directory /var/log/reporting/sarg/access  which is related to the Reporting->HTTP Proxy usage reports
but i don't see any menu to clear out those files.

What is the procedure to clean that directory?

    I got the very same problem. ASL version is 5.022, way behind the current version. Just tried to upgrade in hope for a fix regarding this problem but upgrade fails (doesn't even start) because of insufficent disk space on /var ....  [:(]

    UPDATE: Ok, sorry for the quick shoot on /var, it's /var/up2date which was filled up due to the amount of updates which haven't been installed in the past. I cleared some of the most recent ones to regain some disk space and i am now in the progress of updating. But the initial /var/log/reporting/sarg problem remains. Maybe i will encounter an update which resolves the issue, we will see...

    Anyone got an idea on that one?! Does becoming root and wiping out some files beneath /var/log/reporting/sarg hurt?

    Since we didn't get any answer we deleted some of the files and so far everything seems to be fine.

    We also don't have the last few patches installed, we'll look into installing them and see if that takes care of the situation.

    Sorry for the late answer, I've been on exhaustive holiday abstinence. :-)
    It is safe to delete reports under /var/log/reporting/sarg/access|blocked|categories. Those directories only contain already generated HTTP Proxy usage reports; deleting those reports won't affect the functionality of the system.
