Remote Logging to a database?

Hey there,

I've messed around with the remote  logging capabilities of the Astaro Gateway 220.  From what I can tell, my only options for remote logging are email, SSH, FTP and SMB.  What my company needs is a way to remotely log onto an ODBC/SQL database.  Is this possible, and if so, how?

    ASL 5.x can do "remote syslog" (under System - Remote Syslog in webmin).

    So, you could have a syslog or syslog-ng server somewhere receiving ASL's logs, and then storing them into the DB.
    Google for "syslog-ng oracle" for more info on syslog-ng.

    Hi,
    maybe kiwi-syslog deamon is the thing youre looking for.
    I use it myself to do exactly the thing you discribe.
    There is a free version available on the web, but this version has not the ability to write to SQL-Databases.
    The full-version is able to write to different types of databases like MySQL and others.
