Accounting inaccurate?

Hi,

I know traffic accounting is an arcane art and very difficult to calculate.

However my ISP and Astaro disagree hugely on the amount of data reported.

6/8/05 My ISP says I did : 2023MB
6/8/05 ASL says I did : 1418MB

(ASL reporting on RED interface only, no excluded nets).

Will do more testing, but does anyone know of any issues with it?

Hi,

ISPs tend to round up those numbers [:)]onth.

Remember there is a fair amount of overhead before the data igets to the LAN side of the modem.
