[5.205] DNS proxy dies

Hi everyone,

Our Astaro DNS proxy dies regulary. It simply stops resolving names until I restart the service.

It is setup to forward all request to our own public DNS server. I checked that server and it's not receiving any request from astaro from the instant it dies.

Restarting the DNS proxy makes it all work again. It took me a while to find out what was happening because I was hunting a proxy server problem: this is the onyl service that uses Astaro as DNS (everyone else uses the internal servers who relay to the same public server as Astaro when resolving external addresses).

It happened last week when I was still running 5.200. i upgraded Astaro to 5.205 yesterday evening and, this morning, the DNS resolver stopped working.

Help ?

Edit: I forgot about the SMTP notifications: when i restarted the DNS service I got almost immediatly flooded with onyl notifications that wheren't delivered because the DNS proxy couldn't resolve the host...

    Having a similar issue in 6.004.  Error attached for your viewing pleasure. Although unlike Fulgan restarting the service doesn't make Astaro get back on track with passing queries to my forwarding servers. Yes the error does indicate that the server could not be reached doo it possibly being down, I checked it from another site and it is indeed up.
