Reporting graphs 5.203 fragmented

Hi,
please check with the checklist I provided  here . Especially the sections 3 and 5 would be interesting; you can also try section 6. Please report back with the results.

Well, as I said, ALL reporting network graphs are like the one attached to the post (section 3); I think that the problem comes with Webadmin but I am not sure because the time of use of webadmin isn't exactly the time of the problem, but it only happens when I use webadmin (section 5); I also checked section 6 and everything is fine, so here we go again: is there any relation between webadmin and those stops?

that was caused by clock drift issues. Is the firewall keeping time OK?

Thanks for the answer. I don't think timing is the problem because in all the time that I don't use webadmin every graph is fine. And it's 20 minutes every hour or similar...for example,  if I begin working with webadmin from 9 to 12, ALL network graphs are cutted from 10 to 12 more or less... I don't have any failure on firewall: logs are ok, system is ok, clients work fine, but I don't know what is the problem with webadmin. Any help will be perfect.

sorry, when I said "And it's 20 minutes every hour or similar..." I wanted to say "And isn't 20 minutes every hour or similar..."

I did not want to imply that you post before reading, not at all, but there were some important questions open which I wanted you to check again.

But not the rest of the graphs? Packet filter, Hardware graphs are OK? That was what I wanted to hear, but maybe my checklist isn't explicit enough in this point. Since the data sources are different it might give us a good hint if.

OK, you use the WebAdmin in that time. But what do you do in the time you use it? Probably you change the configuration of certain services or start/stop them, but which ones?

That means that all files in the directories mentioned in section 6 (rrd,images,...) are updated regularly, in 5 minute intervalls, right? If not, which ones are not updated?

We're already one step closer to the solution - hang on [:)]

Hi

ONLY network graphs are affected. My work with webadmin is related to packet filter rules and definitions of users and networks. All the files are updated every 5 minutes.

And its not exactly the same time I work with webadmin, its more or less coincident but. For example, I have not touched ASL this weekend and graphs are ok; but friday's graphs are affected more or less the time I was working.

This is valuable information.
The information for the network graphs is fetched from the SNMP daemon. Can you check the system.log logfile for any downtimes or restarts of the SNMP daemon?

Hi,

It seems that I suffer from the same problem and indeed...there is something wrong with the SNMP deamon.

I get regular mails saying "snmp daemon not running - restarted"

Any ideas what could cause this behaviour?
