Too many config changes

I've noticed over the past week , when I receive my exeuctive report.  The number of config changes shows up as over 1000 changes.  I haven't made any changes to the astaro box for over a month.  I'm wondering if the information is being pulled from the wrong place for the executive report. I rebooted the box to see if that would correct the situation.  I'm at 5.2 if that helps.   Any one have any ideas?

    Did you read the online help?
    System config changes do also count as config changes, so if you have a dial-up configuration, roadwarrior users or something like that the number of config changes will increase even if you don't change anything via webadmin.

    I'd agree with Andreas on this and I would like to add that no matter you haven't accessed your Astaro Box for more than a month, however you'd notice that whenever your ASL box automatically updates (in case it's connected to Internet or you update it explicitly), it makes a lots of configuration changes. However you might want to view the logs or use Astaro Configuration Manager and Report manager.

    I have looked at the logs.  It appears the system is reloading itself every two minutes or so. See below:

    Is this something I should be concerned about?

    Not the system is reloading itself, it is the cron daemon which is reloading it's crontab. Although this is not serious in itself it is a bit curious and might be caused by some kind of loop in the middleware, which causes the crontab to change constantly. Can you check the middleware log file (mdw.log) for repeating messages which might be connected to this?

    Hello,

    I used to have about 800 config changes a day, even on days when I had not used WebAdmin at all. The reason was a network definition:

    Type: DNS Host, Hostname: pool.ntp.org

    This hostname represents a dozen IPs and it changes pretty often. (it's a round-robin-DNS-entry, used for load balancing) If you also have such a definition, that would explain the great number of config changes.
