the graphs that went awol where the networking graphs.  They have been on and off for the past few days.

After some tinkering..I fired up top and noticed accounting was consuming 100% of hte cpu in nice.  I turned off accounting in webadmin then kiled the accounting process.  5 minutes later the networking graphs came back on.

I think I just need a cpu upgrade to handle accounting..[:)]

  • Probably. If my memory is correct, you were the one who had overlapping accounting processes due to big accounting data and small CPU, right?

I wouldn't consider the reporting process very demanding on resources, but it is good if those processes keep a 'synced' state. Since the complete reporting stuff is highly dynamic, it relies on things already processed and generated at a given point of time but this can't be guaranteed in your environment. This would certainly explain the "flaky" behaviour of the reporting graphs...

    Cheers,
    andreas
