Two brief reporting questions

Repus
1. The daily executive report always shows 2 successful logins per day. The problem is I don’t log in twice a day. Only one system can connect to the admin interface via http or ssh.  This is a home environment and there is no one else who could even try to connect to the ASL box from the permitted IP. 

2. Within the last couple of weeks my executive report stopped reporting information for traffic on all interfaces except l0.

I do not know if problems are related but I do know they did not start at the same time.

Any thoughts?

    Hi,
    which kind of logins is shown in the report? Local, Remote or Webadmin login? 
    You can check for yourself in the logfiles, there are webadmin.log, sshd.log and login.log to search for logins.

    webadmin logins. 
    2 a day -
    0 over the last 7 days  
    4 over the last 30 days
    The daily exec report reports that every day.

    Checked webadmin.log the only logins I see are mine. Which depending on the day are sometimes greater or fewer then the executive report reports.

    Any way to check on the script that generates the executive report?

    OK, on Sunday I did not login to my box. Today all the login counters are showing 0 for yesterday.

    Sorry in case I wasnt clear in that post. The numbers never change and havent for a couple of weeks perhapse a month.

    Ah, I think I get your problem now.
    Check the file sizes for /var/log/reporting/accu/* . If there are any with a size of zero, delete them, wait 5 minutes and check again.

    Problem solved 

    I did what you suggested and I also rebooted for no particular reason. Regardless one of those two actions solved the problem I will just assume it was your suggestion that made it work.

    This is a very rare case which we had with one customer a few weeks ago, leaving these accu files in an inconsistent state. I already implemented a check enabling the system to recover from this state, it is currently waiting for an up2date schedule.
