Error after Up2Date 5.101

Hi all,

After installation Up2Date 5.101 disappeared "real" Ethernet interface in menu Reporting -> Network !!!

Interface lo, ipsec and Concurrent connections stayed ...

Restart won't help !!!

 Doesn't know somebody what about it ? 

It happened you so does it ?

    Confirmed. It is not a big issue; the error is caused by a library version mismatch. In other words, the only thing to do is that a binary needs to be compiled using the new library version. We will fix this ASAP, but I can't say how this affects the up2date schedule.

    This is quite a big issue as I use these graphs on a daily basis. QUESTION:  Why was this not picked up in testing?  I take it you do test these before their release.

    don't you think it would be a good idea to have a "known issues" Discussion topic which is locked to the moderator only?

    So you can post there the bugs on which we can decide to update or to wait for the fixes?

    Usually we don't integrate new bugs with our software updates. If that happens despite all our processes and QA, there is always an inspection about the circumstances why this happened and how we can improve our processes to eliminate any possibilty of recurrence. You can be sure that we do not treat this lightly.

    @streetfox: I will propose your suggestion on monday, maybe we will do something like this. There IS already a known issue list, but it is too slow to resemble such bugs. Normally bugs only get there if they can not be resolved immediately, which does definitly not suit this bug.

    Cheers for letting us know.  When you say a fix will be issued ASAP can you post a workaround till then?

    Hi,
    I am sorry but there is no workaround possible, otherwise I would already have told you (I know how ugly this is). 
    Although I don't know how exhaustive I am allowed to speak about this bug, I think it's safe to tell you that the fix is prepared and ready for up2date. It's only a question of up2date scheduling now.
