unable to delete interface

Hello,

after the last reinstall and backup restore I have a problem to delete a interface for accounting. This Interface shows without any description or name in the traffic accounting area.

Any Idea

Ti

  • Andreas, it looks like I'm having a similar problem...

New install of 5.100 updated to 5.103...

I deleted & renamed the first interface to External.

Now, in accounting, I have a phantom interface (see attached image)
I cannot UNCheck it. (it turns back on immediately)!

I haven't had accounting reports turned on, so I don't know if they are affected, but I am turning it on now.

    Thanks,
    Barry
  • OK, that's an easy one to reproduce. I opened a new bug in our bug tracking system for it.
To get rid of those "phantom interfaces", just rename the interface back to the old name and de-select it in Network->Accounting. You can then safely rename the interface.

    Cheers,
    andreas
  • OK, that worked (required a reboot though, NAT or routing quit working)

    Thanks,
    Barry
