sockd not running - restarted

I changed the IP settings on one of my interfaces because I had a primary and two aliases.  I made one of my aliases  the primary, and the old primary became an alias.  Now, I keep getting these messages from Astaro - sockd not running - restarted.  This seems to tell me that  socks is not working properly because I can not connect to my web mail running on an exchange server behind astaro.  Doesn't anyone know how to fix this?

    I wouldn't think you'd want to be using SOCKS for http.

    Nonetheless, maybe try rebooting the firewall and see if it gets better.

    have two customers with the same problem !
    They are not using the Socks Proxy !

    Is there any Workaround about that ???

    Each night a mail is generated: Sockd not running etc
    cronkill ???

    btw :  Reboot doesnt fix the problem !

    i finally found the source for this message !

    This message appears if you have activated the option:
    NOTIFICATION ON PROXY RESTART

    Have a look on your DSL Reconnect time - if your uplink reconnects
    the proxy is restarted.
    If the option above is active it is totally normal to get this message !
