daily accounting not ading up to monthly accountig

When I add up the total bandwith for each of the days of the month it equals roughly 2000 MB  BUUUUUT  ! the report at the bottom of the page claims that it is 3000 MB , incidently that 3000 MB is very close to what my ISP says it should be - same interface same net card, same accounting report device but to different totals, this means my daily reports have to be wrong as I have stated on my other Thread . Why am I the only one who sees this problem? what can I do to make the days totlas add up to the months totals?

    I bieleve that as there has been no response to this post that I must be the only one with this problem - every day the monthly count goes up to the same count as my ISP but every day the daily count is off by 1 third of what it should be does anyone else have this problem?????

    Andrew, if you check it in the morning, before the acctdreport.pl finishes, it probably won't be right.

    Nonetheless, in 5.022, If I add up all my dailies for EXT, I get
    21880MB,
    versus 
    18240MB according to the Current Month rpt.

    So, it does seem to be off.

    Barry thanks for the imput.  If I add up all my day reports it adds up to %30 less than my monthly total each and every day so my daily reports are lower than they should be,   but Barry, you are the oppisite your daily's are a bit higher - Timo Steinbach from Astaro Support says 

    "The monthly accounting are generated based on exactly the same network dumps. So the result should be the same."  

    perhaps if more people write in and let us know if there are others with this problem we will find out that all is not as it should be.  Your reports are off by  16% that is too much.

    For July:

    ASL 5.022 reports: 11,894MB IN
    ISP reports: 11,539MB IN

    Current month (so far):
    ASL 5.022 reports: 5665MB
    ISP reports: 5562MB

    Pretty close...

    Simon my monthly reports are also very close to what the ISP claims I have used - you will get no argument on this point. However my problem is the day to day reports do not add up at all when compared to the on going monthly tally - I have a difference greater than 30% less day to day when compared to the "this month"  [:S]

    Doesn't any one else have this problem ??? I thought computers and software was an exact science but it seems that Linux is Fuzzy or Random ? some times it does one thing and other times it does somthing totaly different ??? Should I asume by the lack of response that I am the only one who has this problem or is it that no one cares?
