we are currently working on the problem. We are not yet sure where that behaviour comes from but as soon as we know it i will give you an update.

Hi,

after installing patch 5.022 I've got the same  problem now.  
alicd restarts about every hour and /val/log/licence.log says :
old license
cannot load luserdb

Looking at the license section in Webadmin there seems everythig ok.
The FW seems to work fine, too.

Any known problems with the latest up2date?

same problem with 5.022
but everything works fine

This problem still exists on our customer's Astaro firewall in Moscow.
We'd appreciate if this problem was fixed asap!

gotten the problem after rebooting. the external ip changed in the process, due to having it disconnected for 12h. already gotten 18 mails (alicd not running - restarted) during the last 12h.  running 5.023

We have the same problem. I updated from 5.021 (where everything was fine) to 5.022 and immediately to 5.023. Then I also had this problem. It's very annoying, but it seems, that it doesn't have any consequences.
What is alicd?
Does it stand for Astaro License Daemon? [:S]

I´ve got the same problem. If anybody got a fix for please tell me. I´ve to administrate 4 Astaro Firewalls and each firewall is sending each hour one email. That means that I have each morning 60 mails in my mailbox to delete. Should I use an spmafilter to solve the problem?!

This Problem has an age of about 6 weeks. I guess, it will be solved very soon. But creating a filter rule in your mail client may work fine. I will do this.

i defined a filter, redirecting those mails directly to the trash.

Doesn't work for me: 5.026 and still problems with alicd:

I suspect alicd beeing the reson for connection problems to the internet!?

The problem is fixed now. For standalone ASL the problem should be already fixed in 5.026. For ASL in HA mode the problem should be fixed with kernel up2date 5.027.

Well, the problem actually *started* with 5.26 in a standalone version, no HA. 

BTW: Even though the machine has been rebooted several times now, the CPU load is freaking out at an average of about 4. Is this a result of this alicd problem or something else to add to the list of oddities? The top-scoring process is

Probably explains why the last days strange network problems like intermittent "No route to host" errors and similar stuff occur. This is better be fixed by 5.027 which I'm about to install...

For the board's interest, the problem is still there with 5.027, several reboots and license changes/reuploads. Together with the freaking high CPU usage (5.027 dropped it from ~3.5 to ~2.5, Yay) and the connection troubles caused by that, im starting to get really mad at this software.

Seems to be a corrupted IP users database. Did you reset your Licensed IP Counter via Settings -> Licensing, as another contributor on this forum suggested?

Yes I already did that, no change.
