Weird network graphs right after install.

I just did a fresh install of ASL using the 5.015 cd and promptly upgraded to 5.017.  All of my network in interfaces are showing a 60Mbps blip that occured around the time of installation.  This is obviously squashing all real data from the graphs off the screen.  Is this a  know problem?

Is there anyway to "reset" the rrd data for the network graphs?

Note that this occurs on al l the interfaces in my ASL box including lo.

    We're seeing these huge spikes daily and on every firewall we handle.  On some firewalls, they occur every day around the same time.  This seems to have started with 5.017.  It doesn't seem to be anything that affects the integrity of the firewall, but agree that it skews the charts and is annoying.  Hopefully, Astaro will address this soon.

    This is a result of the default behaviour of RRD. When you try to compare uploads from a LAN interface with web browsing on your T1, there's a big difference in bandwidth.

    Suggestion to ASL - you might want to have a setting for logarithmic/linear graphs. It would be helpful for so many people.

    I'm seeing huge spikes in my graphs as well which make the graphs next to useless for periods longer than a day.

    Version 4 did not do this.

    I'm starting to think v5, and the new licensing rules about to be released are going to be making Astaro very unattractive.

    I've not seen anything official yet.  But the IP counting and not releasing IP's not seen for 2-3 months seems to be "fixed".  This means if you have say someone drop into your office with a laptop who then attaches to your network, ASL will see the IP and store it as a used license.  This is fine.  Not releasing the IP for months though is another issue.  (ie You will need an ASL license that covers these temporary IP's as well as all your usual IP addresses.)

    Personally I think the license meter should reset every 4-6 hours....  Astaro are in the process of reviewing this but as yet I have not seen anything official.

    Gert mentions this here in a post in General Discussion:
    "the licensing does never refresh itself, it just keeps counting.
    But if you feel that your license DB is not current anymore, 
    you can reset the license database manually inside WebAdmin"

    Resetting the license count manually means a ASL reboot though at the moment [:(]
