not in v4..the ids in v5 can differentiate between them but v4 is not able to do that..(also msn and kazaa will try port 80 if they are blocked by the packetfilter..something the ips/ids in v5 is wise to)
that´s exactly that what i´m looking for:
an option in the socks proxy, in wich you can add allowed services. the same as the http proxy has.
i´ve posted this already but got no reply.
it would also be powerfull if one could bind the allowed services to users, if you use the authentication mode.
user x is allowed to use irc
user y is allowed to use winamp
and so on
Yes indeed, we have a mixture here at the university of students and collegues. The first group should have rather limited access while the last group needs full access (our multi-media research group really need to be able to use streaming media but if all students at the same time are able to use Kazaa???)
