SARG installed - how to get it run ?

SARG should automatically run at midnight and generate http proxy usage stats.

If your HTTP Proxy is enabled, the SARG reports will be created automatically. They can be seen in the WebAdmin: Reporting->HTTP Proxy Usage.

No, it won't. It is triggered by cron and depends on the automatic log rotation. Both will be disturbed if you power down your ASL over night. Your ASL should run 24/7 to ensure consistent and dependable logging / reporting.

Sure, almost everything is possible on ASL, but you have to do it yourself. I can give you a hint, though:
Take a look into /usr/local/bin/logcontrol.sh. You should get an idea how the SARG is run and what is required for it to work. Either write your on script which runs SARG on the not-yet-rotated files, or change this script to suit your needs.

you can also transfer the logs to another linux box and execute sarg there, it's really straightforward really

that bypasses the 25 MB limit  [;)]
