who´s using the socks with success?

I use it for MSN but without authentication.
What´s your peoblem?

i´ve tried to connect to irc trough it. with and without authentication. and i can´t connect to any irc server.

Do you add "internal" as allowed network in ASL socks proxy settings ?

yes, i did.

I run my ICQ through the Socks 5 proxy on ASL v4, with authentication, and that works fine.

Have you defined the allowed networks (Internal) and the allowed users for your Socks proxy? The proxy will only accept client connections from the networks that you have specified. When you use socks 5, only the predefined users can authenticate to it. Go through it and double check your Socks proxy settings in Webadmin.

i´m using xchat.
i´ll make some additional test with different software.
