Cobion seems not working

At the help in http proxy said that the precedence evaluating web pages is:
1) whitelist
2) blacklist
3) web categories

So if I set up www\.google\.com at whitelist and . (or .*) at blacklist... the user should be allowed to access only Google.... but the blacklist is taking precedence.

I tested this on V5 beta 4.720 and beta 4.770 I cannot test it on production V5 since I don't have Cobion license... the idea was test this way to setup before buying, but seems not working at all.

Any idea?

    I upgrade a licence from V4 to V5 just to install and test... and I must say that I got the same problem... blacklist = deny all has precedence over the whitelist.

    try clearing the blacklist and just adding something to the whitelist and see if you can go anywhere but the whitelist.

    If I do that I can access all pages including the one in the whitelist.

    I was working a bit on the Linux and I found a file http.xml in a directory of a program called weed. Doing different settings at the WedAdmin I find out that blacklist ever has precedence over whitelist... as matter of fact in the http.xml file the order evaluating is blacklist, whitelist, Cobion.

    I think the idea when they develop this was... a) Lets block a Cobion Category except this URL that I will place at whitelist... or b) Lets allow all except this URL that I place at blacklist.

    What I don't understand is why on V5 you can use blacklist and whitelist without buying Cobion having blacklist precedence over whitelist. I think this is an error due to the allowing of using lack/white lists without Cobion was a very late decision on the development... so I wrongly developed.

    So... please ASTARO people correct that.

    I still found a problem with HTTP proxy on V5 when enable Surf protection. my IE browser will redirect to "http:\127.0.01\xxx.xxx.com:8888http:\xxx.xxx.com".
