Outlook and SSL warning

I cannot find this, however you would need the certificate from the astaro box, in order to import anything to the certifcate store... Where is the certificate located on the astaro box??

In Eudora, you tell it to save the certificate to your trusted chain. You never have to manually download it from the server.

Yes, however this is not possible in Outlook (Express).. you would have to import the certificate to the store yourself... I did check this out on the internet, and it seems like the manuel import is the only option / way.... and to do this you would of course need the certificate (from the astaro box)

Have you considered using a better mail reader than Outlook Express for your secure connection to the mail proxy?  Outlook Express and Outlook do not keep the address list on the client in a secure location, which is what makes these Microsoft supplied mail clients the primary breeding ground for email viruses today. If you switched to the Netscape or Mozilla email client, not only is your address list secured, but your entire problem with installing certificates for secure mail connections goes away.

The only good thing I can think of saying about Outlook Express, is that it comes preinstalled with Windows.

But since secure mail connections are now your concern, maybe it is time for you to upgrade to a more secure and reliable mail client that will also be easier for you to manage?

Changing email client is not an option, my security concern is to protect the smtp proxy from unauthorized relay, since the clients come from dynamic ip's, i have to use SMTP authorization.
