HTTP Proxy not working

try transparent mode. 

Does still not work. Have to make a packet filter rule to allow http traffic. I think that in that case traffic does not go through the proxy.BTW: Squid logs remain empty.... 

I have the same Problem. Squid seem to restart all the time. On my personal Astaro V5 Beta it wors just fine. Here in the Office with the V5 Release Candidate it does not work at all, so i had to allow HTTP Traffic and deactivate the Proxy...

Well, this thread is comforting in a way.  My HTTP proxy and squid is broken also.  I have tried all combinations to get my http proxy working with no sucess.  I have an any, any, all rule defined for now also.

I just got nailed by the mysterious Squid restarting bug:

I have the same Problem. Squid is shutting down every 60 Seconds

After le last update the proxy works fine. It is a little slow although....

is the filtering on?
if yes, that means that all of the content is first downloaded to the fw and then scanned before passing it on to you.

You're right. I put it off and it works fine now. BTW: No restarting problems over here as discussed in other threads.

did you apply a version V4 backup? Does it contain German Umlaute like'öüä'? This could be the source of error.

same problem here.
different error messages:
"Content could not be loaded    
      Please check the spelling of your URL.
Make sure that your proxy settings are in order.
The following lines may provide some additional information to the cause of the failure.

DNS works! After a few clics on "refresh" it works fine for the page. 

Another error message :"
ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

Cobion content filter is enabled.

I restored a v4 backup.

i loaded 5.001 from scratch and am manually rebuilding my settings..so far two days without issues.  I have not imported my backups of 5.000 and 4.021.
