I have been assigned the configuration of the proxies of our company, so i really need some help with this.
We have astaro configured as two different proxies, meaning that we have to computers and 2 different ips working as proxy. We have around 500 users, configured by sections to use either one of the proxies. All of those computers have ips given by dhcp. so my problems start here:
in my domain controller i have different groups. i have most of them configured by group policy to force an internet connection using the proxies.
I configured my astaro to block porn and mail sites and i gave that rule to my "any" network, meaning that everybody who uses that proxy wont be able to browse any porn sites or mail sites, depending on which sites i had already configured.
i wanted to create network groups in astaro so i could manage them equally as my group policies of the dc, but it seems i cant because of the ip variability of all computers that the dhcp gives, meaning that i cant specify a group to a range of ip because when the dhcp leases ends, it can take an ip from another group.
i tried it a first time, but it didnt work. i ended with the whole company having access denied to the mail pages and i want it to be to segmentated groups only.
and another thing that happened is that every web site that works with a password stopped working, as if passwords werent recognized anymore... one of those sites has an internal ip of my network, in the network group of astaro i configured it to have all access, but that didnt work either...
can any of you please enlighten me so i can start giving more specific questions of my needs cause i really dont know what to do or how to start
