http proxy aborts download

when i download a file from the www after some time squid aborts the download without any error message. so i'm not able to download the whole file.
this works when i don't use the http proxy.

what's wrong?
i'm running squid in operation mode "user authentication" and anonymity "none" with caching.

asl 4.015

it had been working some weeks ago but now it doesn't - with the same configuration.

    Can I ask what the size of the file is? We had a problem with files in excess of 1MB. After some changes to the squid config we were then ok. I made a post reguarding this some time back. If you do a search you should be able to locate it.

    1 MB is an upload limitation!

    the changes in squid.conf you wrote about:

    >request_body_max_size 100 MB
    >(this is the one I belive was important)
    >maximum_object_size 100000

    do i have to add these lines? i cannot find these lines in my squid.conf, so i think i have to add them, right?

    but i think the problem with downloading large files is the result of nearly full up cache. i cleared cache and the problem looks solved.

    what do you think

    As I was corrected those lines resolve the problem with file uploading. So yes I would add them if you have problems uploading to a website then I would say yes, but otherwise, if it's not broke....

    it has to go to /var/chroot-squid/etc/squid.conf-default and needs a restart of the proxy to be activated. But that will not solve the intial problem! Have you already tried to zap the cache? In the HTTP proxy configuration ppage is somewhere a button to clear the cache.
