Pass incoming SMTP through the SMTP proxy

I want all the inbound SMTP traffic passing through my SMTP proxy but, instead of this, the incoming mail is sent directly to my internet SMTP/POP server, and it's not handled by Astaro. The "SMTP Realy" log file does not show any incoming activity, and some test mails show the external mail being sent directly to the internal mail server.

Any advice? Just paid the anti-virus license, and no use by the moment!

Like other person write you must point MX record to your ASL box if you want mail sent throu smtp proxy on ASL

The other thing to remember is to not have DNAT and Packet filter rules that forward SMTP (port 25) to your mail server. In my experience, setting the DNAT rule will bypass the proxy.

Thank you for all replies, but just updating the MX field with the external network card address didn't work. As you have noted, if you forward port 25 via SNAT/DNAT, mail is not processed by the firewall.

So, both tricks solved the problem. Thanks to all!!
