SMTP Virus check switched off after Up2date?

Hi all!,
my customer yelled at me because ASL let through the MyDoom. This is days after it was first spotted.
Doing some research, I found that the Virus Protection setting was switch off. No wonder the virus got through. I do wonder, however, how it got switched off. Log files show it was active before (last virus spotted June 2003).

After reading a number of threads where up2date broke SMTP relaying, I suspect that some up2date choose to switch off Virus checking.

Can this be true? Anyone made a similiar experience?

I tested that. I enabled Virus-protection. Then I updated from 4.008 to 4.020. The Virus-protections was still enabled.
Maybe you hit F5 in Browser that switched the button to off again.

Hi Michael,

I have the same problem with U, after update to 4.020 then AV stop scanning incoming mail, and also content filtering doesn't work. Any idea??
