Help !! Can't receive emails !

Hi,

I just setup an Exchange 2000 Server with an ASL. The website for my domain is being hosted by an ISP. They already set the MX records and other settings to point to the IP address of the firewall. I configured Packet Filter rules for POP3 and SMTP. The way I sent them up is from Any -> POP3 -> (Mail Server IP) Did the same for SMTP. I also configured the POP3 and SMTP under proxies. When I send messages from outlook using my email address, it works fine. When I send messages from other accounts to my email address, then I receive the following messages. 

Message from  yahoo.com.
Unable to deliver message to the following address(es).

:
63.81.160.7 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 ... Relaying denied
Giving up on 63.81.160.7.

    Hi,

    i think it looks like the expression filter setting and/or does your emailadress contains any hyphen ?

    When you use a proxy, you do not (should not??) need to make packetfilter rules; so bag those...

    When you are sending mail from the Internet, are you using a FROM address not the same as your domain's??

    What are your SMTP proxy settings?

    Your right I fixed that. I figured out what the problem is, but I don't know how to resolve it. I think it's on the ISP who is hosting the website.

    Someone from the outside can send me an email fine to MVaccarino@taospueblo.com.  But when I try to send an email to my @taospueblo.com email address from behind the firewall, I'm getting the following message: If change the SMTP settings to "mail.taospueblo.com" it works.

    Guess what? That's correct behavior!

    The Exchange Server on the LAN handles all mailbox-to-mailbox transfers for within the same domain. The only mail that should be passed off to the firewall is that destined for a different domain. Any attempts to send to the same domain from behind the firewall looks fishy to the firewall, and it balks...

    If you're still having problems, show us your SMTP proxy settings.

    FYI: right now, I am seeing what's called "round robin" entries for your mail to that domain; mail will be routed to one of three servers at newmex.com. I presume that's your ISP? And they in turn pass it off to your Astaro?

    OK, I just did a manual test [See SMTP outgoing mail]; the mail server zorro.newmex.com (65.121.116.7) is refusing to accept mail for MVaccarino@taospueblo.com. So your ISP will have to straighten that out and earn their keep (unless somebody at your company gave them the wrong instructions...)
