Editing RBL hosts in exim.conf

Hi all,  today, after being fed up with the remaining amounts of SPAM not properly caught by spamassassin, I decided to add sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org to the RBL hosts section of exim.conf.  I did this as the root user.  However, after rebooting the ASL box the changes to exim.conf were lost.  Why?  How do I get the changes to stick?

  • Why don´t you add the rbl in the webadmin or in /etc/wfe/conf/smtpdata. The exim configuration uses this file. If you want to add the rbl in the exim configuration, you have to use /var/chroot-mail/smtp/etc/exim.conf-default.
