What is the def of a web bug as termned in the http proxy content filter..and i am assuming it only protects regular http traffic? will it also stop web bugs inside html mails?
That's a very interesting question: can Squid identify a web bug and drop it? I think it is definitely technically possible; I am not a Squid guru, but since Squid is in effect reconstructing web content on a proxy basis, it should be able to see that content is graphic and quite small in size, so drop it.
