That would be an orthodox way; or if you're Linux fluent, use the cnotifier script from crontab (search for Astaro posts on how to update its crontab); logs are stored in /var/log. Care should be taken to encrypt; I know Astaro has the Unix standard crypt utility lying around, but maybe somebody knows of something stronger lurking on the box??
I haven't done these but ideas popped into my clogged up brain. So I might be in left field.
You could automate an scp grab of the logs. You might need a cron job on ASL to make the rotated logs available.
You could use the email logs function and then at the mail server you automate the strip out and placement of the log. I wouldn't be emailing unencrypted logs unless it was to the mail server next to ASL on a switched internal network.
