Outlook Express mail get blocked

Hi,

I am using ASL 4.016 as SMTP Server. If someone sends me an email from Outlook Express (6.00.2800.1158)  which does not contain a TO (it only contains a BCC) the message gets rejected by ASL.

The problem is that outlook express writes "Undisclosed-Recipient:" into the TO Field if only a BCC is given.

ASL rejects the mail with the following error:
2003-Dec  3 10:16:45 (none) exim[19405]: [1\24] 2003-12-03 10:16:45 1ART7k-00052z-WF H=(blabla.blablabla.com) [123.123.123.123] F= rejected after DATA: "@" or "." expected after "Undisclosed-Recipient": failing address in "To" header is: 

Does anyone have a fix for this?

    Why would you have a BCC and not a TO address?  BCC isn't needed if it is the only address being used.  I use BCC without troubles but they always have at least one TO/CC address.  Then again I don't use Outlook but have seen plenty of those Undisclosed Rec headers but they do work since there is a TO address to verify.

    I want my ASL to check the TO header and the sender's address for validity (for anti spam).  But if there isn't a TO address I guess you'll have what you describe no matter what email client was used.

    Some newsletters send to a BCC only, though...
