How can get Mails from more than one provider ?

Hi there,
I succeeded in installing and up2dating my astaro firewall.
Now I try to make things work that did work before as getting and sending mail.

Working with W2Kpro and Outlook 2000 I have several mail accounts (sports club, private, my wife, etc.).
What do I have to configure to  send and receive messages ?

I.e. a mailaccount at web.de like userxy@web.de with POP-server pop.web.de and SMTP-Server smtp.web.de aswell as a mailaccount userxy@msn.com with pop.msn.com and smtp.msn.com

The meesage I get is: "server not found". As it worked before with a zone alarm firewall and PC-cillin I disabled PC-cillin and Zonealarm, reconfigured the outlook accounts to correct settings.
Didn´t help.

I tried to vary the pop and proxy settings on asl. 
At last I defined network entries for the external mailservers and  made rules like from "My internal Network"  to "POP-Server xy" service POP3 allow  (and the same with SMTP).

Seems as if I am sort of lost in configuration....
Is there anyone who had a similar problem and would help ?

    What is the purpose of the ASL box? Do you plan or have enabled mail content filtering? Unless you plan to use these features I cant se any reason for using nor pop3 or the smtp proxy. So allowing your clients to do pop3 and smtp to any server should'nt be any danger. Or if you prefer define the pop3/smtp servers and allow you clients to only pop and smtp to those. If using masqerading you only need to set up the packet filter rules.

    Then you need to allow the clients to use DNS. Either you set up the DNS proxy in the ASL and redirect them to use this or if you allow the clients to DNS to any server or specific defined.
