Changing the port exim listens on...

How would I go about changing the port the mail proxy listens on?  I looked in exim.conf under /var/chroot-smtp/etc, but I didn't see a port assignment there.

I would appreciate any help.

What good would that do? If you change the port nobody will be able to send you an email via this relay. SMTP works on port 25, if you change it how would the sending side know?

Maybe he's configuring the sending side too (branch office mail server); or he's working in concert with another business to do specialized mail routing.

Port obfuscation such as this is sometimes done as a trivial security enhancement; and other times to end-run a firewall (change mailer to port 80)...

I have a system in place that receives my mail on 25 and then sends it to me on a port defined by me. I can make this work fine by having Astaro forward that non-standard port to my mail server, but I need *Exim* to catch the traffic, and not my mail server.

Does anyone know how to configure the port that Exim listens on?

The keyword is "DNAT". Maybe that is the easiest way.
