hi 21,
In my network i've 3 DHCP server ( win2000 ), i've assigned a scope by dhcp and a range of dynamic ip ( eg: from 172.16.100.50 to 172.16.200.150 ).
now i need to assign dhcp ( from 172.16.100.1 to 172.16.100.49 ) to my VPN user ( PPtP roadwarriors ) .
in this configuration i've some internal network client that takes dynamic IP from ASL dhcp and not from my W2000 server !!
How to prevent this ??
follows my ASL DHCP setting :
network: PPTP poof on internal
range: from 172.16.100.1 to 172.16.100.49
DNS: my internal DNS server
WINS: my internal WINS server
node type: H-node
No Gateway
NO static mappings
probably the real question is:
if a Roadwarrior need to take an IP of the same internal network class when connecting from remote client through VPN ( to be reached from internal net via VNC, browsing, etc.. ), my configuration setting are right ??
how to prevent internal network clinet to take IP from ASL DHCP ??
