DHCP -> DNS

I now have a notebook computer which can connect to my network via cable ethernet or wireless. I want it to have the same hostname for either connection and this name should resolve correctly on the network for any other machine. Now DHCP will set the notebook up ok but how do I get DNS to update with the correct address? 
Suggestions please.

    If you're talking about Astaro's DNS proxy, you can't yet. You have to use a Dynamic DNS server (hosted service or internal one you set up)

    Go to the Windows-Network-Configuration. Goto the options of TCP/IP. Goto Advanced. Goto DNS. There you will find a checkbox called ""register addresses of this connection" or something like that (sorry, I have a German Windows). Display the tooltip of that function. I guess this is what you want.
    But for using this feature you can not use the DNS-Proxy from ASL. Use a WindowsDNS directly for example.
