Strangers using my proxy!

Hi!

Someone (well, actually some) are using my proxy from the outside to access sites outside - as  a free proxy, so to speak.

The problem seem to be, that I want my proxy to act both as a normal proxy and a reverse proxy (to cache my websever).

When used as a reversed proxy, I have to allow all networks, I suppose(??) and thereby, everyone can use the proxy from the outside to everywhrere.

Can I use the proxy both ways, whitout this abuse?

    You should probably run two copies of squid... one for the normal and one for the reverse proxies.

    That would be a possibility, but for security reasons I (at this point) tend not to install any software myself on the firewall, I should like to stick to what comes with the updates from AST.

    Anyway, I finally managed to get it working, but it took some changes in squid.conf.
