Does squid support caching ftp file transfers?

Do I just put FTP in the target services?

yes it will..but only in regular mode..it will not work in transparent mode..yes jsut add ftp to the services list..[:)]

For FTP, you might want to increase the max cache object size in the squid-default conf file. I think the default is normall around 5mb.

Max_Oject_Size determines what size object will be cached on disk..if squid is caching ftp this will controll how big the object can be and be cached..as per this thread
